Description

This is a choose-your-own-adventure style-novella intended for students at the end of Latin II and beyond. It is set in Stabiae, a city near Pompeii, on the day of Vesuvius' eruption. You will play as Antonia, a fourteen-year-old young woman with a little brother named Crispus. You will meet historical figures along the way, as well as having some difficult choices to make. What will you do? Will you - and your brother - get out alive?

About the Author

Arianne Belzer, co-author, is a high school teacher in Georgia. She teaches Latin I-IV at Grayson High School in an untextbooked, deskless classroom. She keeps a blog at latinforeveryone.blogspot.com, where she writes about her classroom and her pedagogical ideas. When she is not telling Latin stories with her students, she can be found in her kitchen or in an aerial dance studio. Isabella Pelegrin, co-author and illustrator, spent her third year of Latin working on this book. She will be a senior at Grayson High School. When she's not writing novellas, she's trying to decide where to go to college.
